Here we go again on the merry-go-round, my head spinnin round, my head spinnin round, the stress got me pinned down, tryna tap out, but there’s no escape, no release valve, what am I supposed to do now?, don’t really know, all I really know is ya boy got flow, more than a pitter patter, this is a torrential downpour, prepare to get soaked, I can’t be damned, I can’t be slowed, I’m rushin right through, your soul got caught in the undertow, but don’t fight it, just let yourself go, get carried away, out to sea, that’s where I’ll be, way deep under, in dark blue water, but I’m seein things so clear, I ponder, conjure, a drifter, just a piece of wood, floating, I wash ashore, in a random place, I’m all over the place, scattered, wasting my energy, running on this treadmill, am I really going anywhere?, there must be some point to all of this, we can’t all be lost, I thought there would be someone to help lead the way, but so far it’s just me, and this is confusing to say the least, I got a small family and very few friends, not many options, I guess they want me pinned down with no freedoms, cause they’re content to let me stay broke and independent, tough love I guess, my dad is old school, and my mom is oblivious, call me Rodney Dangerfield, I get no respect, and these damn musicians are even worse, close-minded rappers, self-absorbed, I’m so fast forward, and they’re stuck in the past, if I hear another hip-hop song with a soul sample I’m gonna blow off my head, oh well, go to the gym and relieve this stress, I ain’t Nelson Mandela, spendin 27 years in prison, it could be way worse, gotta stay positive and remember my Buddhist philosophy, pour all my heart into my hobbies, I’m so much more fun than everybody else, I don’t do all the stuff that’s bad for your health and just a distraction, no smokin, no drinkin, no watchin sports or video game playin...just focused on this music, it’s my life, music is life, and this comes from my soul, it’s not just hip-hop, I’m breakin the mold, all these fools that acted cold will be remembered when I’m on top, red hot, it’s a shame how you played the game, but I won’t give up
